Many older homes across the Wirral still have original pine floorboards hidden beneath carpets or old finishes. Over time these floors can become dark, worn and heavily marked, but in many cases they can be restored to reveal the natural beauty of the timber underneath.
We recently restored these original pine floorboards in a property in Oxton on the Wirral, transforming them from a tired dark finish into a clean, natural wood floor.
Before Restoration

Before sanding, the original pine floorboards had a dark worn finish with years of scratches and marks from previous use. Although the floor looked tired, the timber underneath was still in good condition and suitable for restoration.
After Sanding & Finishing

After sanding and finishing, the natural colour and grain of the pine floorboards were revealed. The room was completely transformed with a much lighter, warmer appearance while keeping the character of the original wood floor.
